OK Lori..this one is for you :)

I have been asked why all I write about is work. Well, you see my friends, this is because that is all I do. I wake up every morning at 5:20am and am leaving for work by 6:15. I arrive at work between 6:30 and 6:45 and begin my day. These days are usually about 12ish hours. We don't sit down all day, usually don't even eat lunch. By the time I get off work and get home, I pretty much go straight to sleep.

Lets see. Wednesday I worked 16 hours. I got home around 10:30pm and was in bed around 10:45. Thursday I only worked 9 hours but was in bed by 6:00pm and slept until the next morning. (Can you tell I’m exhausted yet?). Friday I worked 13 hours and only left at 7:00pm because I had to meet my roommate for dinner as it was her birthday.

I just realized that I never even ate dinner this week. I believe the total count of hours worked this week = 60. Needless to say my life is wake up in the morning, go to work, come home and go to bed.

I believe that this "life" I have been living is catching up to me. On Friday we were in the middle of our 3rd case. Everything was going fine. I was alittle hungry (after all it was 1:30). All of the sudden I was like OMG I don't feel good. It hit me so fast. Then I asked for a chair to sit down. As soon as I did that, I fainted. The nurse that was bringing me the chair caught me thankfully. I'm not to sure why it happened. I did not feel extremely hot although when I woke up I was covered in sweat. I left the OR and sat for alittle while and ate some lunch. Within 30 minutes I was back running the hospital. (We were crazy busy)

I felt fine after the "incident" until late Friday night. Ever since I have felt alittle wobbly. Not to sure what is going on. Needless to say I have spent my weekend doing NOTHING except laying in bed. I did take an online CPR class yesterday!

So that is why I have nothing to report except work stories. Its still to cold to lay out :( If I get my energy up I might go shopping today. My roommates bachelorette party is in acouple weeks.

  1. OMG----"it's still to cold to lay out", it's still too cold here to be out!!! I wasn't saying anything bad about your blog. I really didn't realize each day was that long. I thought it was a couple of times a week. Your body needs fuel to keep going, and maybe by fainting it's telling you something! Can you carry nutrition bars in your pockets to nipple on in the hallway going to and from? Keep on bloggin cuz I go crazy the days you and Shelly don't. My days are just so empty without it. (big pouty face). Take care and catch up on your rest.
    Love ya
