Happy Easter!!!
Hope everyone had an enjoyable day. I worked this morning. I wasn't on call but I went in to work to help out. I was able to round on our patients while the other PA and Doc on call did an appendectomy. I left by 10am so it really wasn't bad. By me seeing all the kidsthe two on call could quickly say hello to the kids, sign my notes, and get out of their sooner for the holiday.
This afternoon we had a cookout for Easter with our friends here. We did hamburgers on the grill with party potatoes (my fav). It was wonderful. My roommate made an bunny cake. It turned out so cute. (see picture above)
Yesterday I ran a ton of errands. It was so nice to have a day off and get some things done. I was on call Friday night but only got 1 call so I was able to get alittle sleep. Not matter what, when I am on call I don't sleep well. I guess its the anticipation for the stupid beeper to go off. Anyways, I wasn't completely exhausted so I did get things done. I also made it to the gym for the first time in months. Man am I paying for it today, every muscle in my body hates me right now.
On Monday I was able to see JoAnn and Sunny. They were out here for vacation. I hope you guys had an enjoyable rest of the week!!!
I havent written about any exciting cases from work recently. Probably because we havent had anything to exciting and Im so exhausted by the time I get home I forget. One of our docs is on vacation starting Thursday so it will be nice to have alittle break!
Hope everyone has a wonderful week!!!
Hi Kari,
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!!! Your Bunny cake is sooo cute. What are party potatoes? It was very nice of you to go in and help out, especially so they could get out early. We put our big plastic bunny and the 100's of plastic eggs in Gary and Judy's yard last night. Then we went to Jim's mom's for dinner and came home and they were all in our yard!!! We ran aronund like idiots picking them up and putting them back before they got home!!! Of course, we were peein' the whole time. Murphy and Reilly asked me to tell you hello and that they love you already. They can't wait to meet you!!!!
Hope you have an easy week. Luv ya, Lori
You know, the potatoes that we always have at graduations, etc. With cornflakes on top:)
